What are the basic skills that any child?

We know that education is important but we feel that life skills are often as important or sometimes more important for our kids to have so here basically we discuss top 9 most probable skills of western kids.

So we are going over 9 skills that your child should have before they turn 9.

Habit of doing one's own work

    Which is basic how skills what do we mean by that so your child should be able to pick up after themselves make a bed in the morning put their dishes away after they use it and just basic household skills that signifies that they are able to take care of themselves.

 Ability to articulate one's point of view

    Kids of western to make themselves a simple and friendly meal with the parents and others and the reason behind is because the parents trying to encourage this level of independence. Where they are self-sufficient where they are able to stand on their own two feet and making a simple meal for themselves is great.

 Good Habits and Manners

   The next skill is that rings up so true to us as Australian teachers we experience it. That is for your child to have proper manners and even table etiquette is something and some of it is cultural we want to be mindful of that but others are just not right others.

  And being able to say good morning, please, thank you and excuse me etc. these manners are super valuable and will carry western kids a long way and the along the lines of table etiquette knowing how to hold a fork the right. 

     Presentable if they go to a dinner with co workers and others. They able to eat the right way 

      Hygiene and self grooming

     Western kids most probably maintain hygiene and self grooming and this is brings along with it a whole bunch of problems and bullying that is just unnecessary and completely avoidable. Clean nails, you know it these are things that we see on a daily basis.  

These are the five developmental skills

 Responsibilities/ self-confidence

     Western kids mostly able to know their responsibilities. They built that self autonomy to know the responsibilities know their routines recognize that so that it could lead them to success and really build their self-confidence. When they are able to say” hey I know I have to do this I am getting it done and I am doing it well “and that is incredible for the western kids. This is a big point to be successful and also for your child to build their own confidence.

Another important skill that

   Hard work/getting feedback

   Every child should have or that they have to actually practice is to learn how to take feedback whether it’s positive feedback or negative feedback every human being needs to know how to take that why because they are constantly getting feedback at work and you have to know how to react to that feedback it’s not that people want to pick. They want you to improve and so having that understanding by constantly giving them feedback even.

   Sports activities

     Just involving them in after-school activities sports and all of these things that is going to teach them this critical skill of learning

  They are strong minded kids

      Strong minded kids who have become who are the people who are the leaders of tomorrow so we encourage them

   Skill to speak up

     Here we come to the last tip and definitely not least which is having the skill to speak up for them where they can be able to say. They able to advocate for themselves and to fight for what they believe or not

Conclusion

      So many years in the classroom and so many conversations with others parents we have come to conclusion that we should not just be focusing on academic skills that as parents we need to be encouraging life skills too having said that we have tips/skills to help your child become more independent to be self-sufficient.
